Amy first appeared on the episode "Computer School Blues." When she is first approached, she was thought as an enemy from the Negaverse. At school she was alone and ridiculed by the other students, names like "The Brain School Reject" were spreading through the school like wild-fire. Coming to this new regular high school after going to a gifted school was a very suspicious change. After trying to be friends with Serena, Amy drops a floppy disk at the video arcade and everything is revealed. The contents of the floppy disks were that of the Negaverse, only confirming Serena and Luna's suspicions.
When Serena goes to the computer class that Amy goes to, she finds the place riddled with Nega-energy. Soon she finds that the evil monster is too difficult for Sailor Moon, but luckily Amy is found to be another Sailor Scout! Luna gives Amy the Mercury transformation pen and she transforms into Sailor Mercury. When Sailor Mercury does her Mercury Bubbles, Sailor Moon turns the monster into dust, and returns the energy to the students of the class. Serena and Luna apologizes to Amy and they begin to talk about school and fun.
