When Lita first appears on Sailor Moon she is a transfer student from another school. She transfers to Serena's school because she was expelled for fighting. When she arrives at Serena's school rumers spread quickly as no one wants to talk or have anything to do with the new girl, except for Serena. Serena's curiousity get's the better of her as she creeps a little too close to the new girl, Lita, and is confronted by her kindness and generousity. Lita and Serena begin to talk as they share Lita's lunch. Through the lunch period Serena gets to know Lita and finds out that she's more than her tough girl exterior reveals.
More and more Serena begins to understand Lita until Zoicite appears and goes after Joe, a holder of a Rainbow Crystal. Lita's angered by this, as she likes Joe, and goes charging after Zoicite not knowing the evils that lay ahead. Lita fights Zoicite even though she knows that Zoicite has super-natural powers, anything to help Joe in his hour of need. Luna sees that Lita's the fourth Sailor Scout, Sailor Jupiter, and comes to her rescue as she reveals herself and Sailor Jupiter's transforming pen.
Lita quickly understands and transforms into Sailor Jupiter. Powered by her anger, she uses her thunder to help release Sailor Moon from the clutches of Game Machine Man, making Sailor Moon able to return Joe to his human form and thwart Zoicite's plan.

Lita uses a lightning rod from her tiara to attract thunder and lightning to attack her opponents. Done in the first half of the Sailor Moon R Series.

Sailor Jupiter empowers her thunder by saying these words and by her angered emotions. Although she says different words ,stated in the parenthasis, it still creates the same effects and damage. She used this to defeat the lion monster during the first half of the the Sailor Moon R Series.
Jupiter, Thunder, Dragon!
Sailor Jupiter uses the same lightning rod on her tiara to attract thunder and lightning and charges it towards her opponents, only it forms the shape of a dragon and is able to dodge and dart enabling it to hit it's target almost every time. This is done during the first half of the Sailor Moon R Series.
Jupiter, Star, Power!
Lita uses her newly aquired transformation wand to transform into Sailor Jupiter during the second half of the Sailor Moon R Series.
Jupiter, Thunderclap, Zap! (Only said in the Sailor Moon R Series)
Sparkling, Wide, Pressure! (Said after the Sailor Moon R Series)
Using the same lightning rod on her tiara, Sailor Jupiter attracts thunder and lightning and compresses it within her hand to create a lightning disc to throw at her enemies. This is done in the second half of the Sailor Moon R Series.
